I have really loved working on the interactive power point assignment. I am very happy with how my powerpoint in coming along. Although parts of this assignment were a little tedious, it was very interesting and fun to create. I think this will be a very helpful skill to have as a future teacher. I am looking forward to making games for my students to play in class to help them learn in a new and interactive way. I would like to be a first or second grade teacher. I think that I can use surveys for many purposes in my classroom. The first way that I can think of is to conduct a survey at the beginning of the year to see who each child lives with in order to gather all of the parents contact information. I could also conduct data to see which months have the most birthdays in order to prepare to celebrate each student. And lastly I could conduct a lesson on data analysis and have the students collect data on their own such as how many pets each student has.  One technology-related s...

The first experince I had with distance learning was during Covid. We would have the occasional zoom call and a few assignments posted on google classroom. The work wasn't very hard for me to keep up with but I also don't think that I learned very much during that time. However, that was everyone's first time being forced to switch to online learning and it was a big adjustment for everyone. A technology that I never used but would like to try is Flipgrid. I think that it is a very interesting concept and a creative way to learn. Open educational resources are educational resources that can be used and shared by anyone. The link below is an article from the University of Florida about open educational resources. The website starts by describing what a OER is. It then gives examples of OERs such as textbooks, streaming videos, podcasts, and curriculum maps. The website also offers information on how to find more OERs and how to create one. https://teach.ufl.edu/textbook-aff...

I learned so many new things from the website design assignment that I am very excited to use when I become a teacher. I used quite a few design principles when I was creating my website. I used contrast throughout my website by putting light colored words on a dark colored background. I also used repetition by using the same fonts throughout the website. I liked how easy weebly was to use, but I feel like there were a lot of things I wanted to add to my website that weebly didn't offer or I couldn't figure out how to do it.  https://msstarlingsfirstgradeclass.weebly.com/ I think that QR codes are very easy to use and I would love to incorporate them in my future classroom. When I have stations set up I could use QR codes that have instructions for each station. When I display art around my room I can put QR codes on each piece of art to say who made it. When the kids come in in the morning I could have a QR code on the wall with their morning work.  https://fsu.padlet.org/ik2...
